Library Snapshot Day Results
On November 2, 2011, libraries from all over the state of Florida collected stories, pictures and statistics of all the happenings in their library for the Florida Library Association’s Library Snapshot Day. This year, over a quarter of a million Floridians visited their libraries in just one day. Take a look at some of the other stats from just one day:
- 56,813 people used computers in the library.
- 8,872 people were taught computer skills.
- 1,383 people were assisted with applying for government-provided benefits.
- 1,447 job seekers were helped.
- 13,710 children 12 and under attended a program at their library or media center.
- 33,673 reference questions were answered.
Think about what happens at your local library in just one day…or in an entire month!
